Mining Vibration
Coil Springs & Vibro Springs
Harare, Zimbabwe
Purpose-engineered mining vibration coil springs — also known as vibro springs — plus compression springs and torsion springs for vibrating screens, feeders, and classifiers. Built to withstand the punishing high-frequency cycles and heavy ore loads of Zimbabwe's mining sector.
What Are Mining Vibration Coil Springs (Vibro Springs)?
Vibrating screens and feeders use rotating eccentric mechanisms to sort, classify, and transport ore, aggregate, and minerals. The mining vibration coil springs — commonly called vibro springs — that mount the screen body to its base frame are what isolate the vibration, absorbing energy so the frame doesn't fatigue and ensuring the screen maintains consistent amplitude for accurate sizing. Technically these are heavy-duty compression springs, engineered to compress and rebound thousands of times per minute without losing their set.
These springs operate under continuous dynamic loading at 700–1500 RPM. A failed spring causes uneven vibration, poor screening efficiency, increased wear, and — if left unchecked — catastrophic screen frame failure. At Petfetch, we supply drop-in replacements and custom-fabricated sets to match any screen manufacturer's specifications — and we also fabricate compression springs and torsion springs for the wider mining and industrial equipment on your site.

Mining Vibrating Screen Coil Spring Range
Standard Cylindrical Coil Springs
The most widely used vibration screen spring type — straight cylindrical body with flat-ground ends for even load distribution. Supplied in matched sets so all springs carry equal load and maintain consistent screen amplitude.
Conical & Barrel-Shape Coil Springs
Conical and bi-conical (barrel) springs provide a progressive spring rate, offering softer initial deflection that stiffens as load increases — ideal for screens with highly variable feed rates or oversized lump ore.
Rubber-Bonded Steel Coil Springs
A steel coil spring vulcanised inside a rubber sleeve — combining the load capacity of steel with the noise and corrosion resistance of rubber. Excellent for wet, muddy, or chemically aggressive mineral processing environments.
Heavy-Duty Scalping & Primary Screen Springs
Engineered for the brutal conditions of primary crushers and scalping screens — thick wire, short free length, and high spring rate to handle oversized rock and high impact loads without coil clash or fatigue.
OEM Replacement Spring Sets
Drop-in replacement sets for screens from Metso, Sandvik, Haver & Boecker, Derrick, FLSmidth, Schenck, and other major OEM manufacturers — dimensionally matched so you get the same performance without the OEM markup.
Torsion Springs & General Compression Springs
Beyond vibrating screens, we fabricate torsion springs and general-purpose compression springs for conveyors, tensioners, latching mechanisms, and other mining and industrial equipment across your site — built to your exact wire gauge, coil count, and force spec.
Custom Spring Fabrication for Mining
Send us your screen's wire diameter, free length, outside diameter, number of active coils, and spring rate — or provide the old spring — and we'll fabricate a matched replacement set to exact specification.

How to Order Mining Screen Springs from Petfetch
Unlike vehicle leaf springs, mining screen coil springs must be fabricated to very precise dimensional and rate tolerances — one slightly off spring in a set throws the screen out of balance. Here's the information we need to get it right first time:
Why Zimbabwe's Mining Sector Chooses Petfetch
Serving Zimbabwe's Gold, Chrome, Diamond & Lithium Sectors
From small-scale artisanal operations to large-scale processing plants, we supply screen springs for every scale of mineral processing in Zimbabwe. Our team understands the 24/7 operational demands of mining — and we're set up to match them with fast fabrication, quality steel, and reliable delivery.
Common Questions
What mining engineers and maintenance managers ask us most often.
1How do I know when my vibrating screen springs need replacing?
Key signs include uneven screen vibration or amplitude, visible spring breakage or cracking, the screen sitting unevenly on its mounts, increased noise and vibration transmitted to the structure, and deteriorating screening efficiency (more fines in the oversize). Proactive replacement at scheduled intervals is always better than reactive failure during production.
2Can I replace just one broken spring in a set?
We strongly recommend replacing all springs in a set simultaneously. A new spring installed alongside worn springs will carry disproportionate load, fatigue faster, and create unbalanced vibration. Replacing the full set also allows you to match free lengths across all positions — a critical requirement for screen balance.
3Do you stock springs for common screens or is everything custom-fabricated?
We maintain stock of the most common spring sizes used in Zimbabwe's mining sector. For less common or OEM-specific dimensions, we custom-fabricate — typically with a 24–72 hour turnaround depending on complexity and quantity.
4Can you supply springs for a screen we built in-house?
Absolutely. We work from your spring sample or detailed drawings. Many mining operations in Zimbabwe run custom-fabricated screens — we've supplied springs for equipment built locally and for imported screens where OEM parts are no longer available.
5Do you deliver to mine sites outside Harare?
Yes — we deliver to mining operations across Zimbabwe including Gweru, Kwekwe, Bulawayo, Mutare, Bindura, and remote sites. For large or urgent orders we arrange direct mine site delivery. Ask us about logistics when you place your order.
